In reality, I doubt I will ever get to retire. I like money and working, Id just change professions if it came down to it.
My house and cars will be paid off in the next 10 years. Then we will be pumping those payments into savings just like we were still paying them. Combine that with whatever 401k that isnt lost in a stock market crash and my wife's teacher's retirement, and we should be ok for a slower way of life. The possibility of selling the house and moving to a lakehouse or maybe even a house on the coast has been talked about as well."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

All I do is stack up money, C notes by the layer. I can figure out how to spend it later, that is the easy part.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

The wife graduates in 2 semesters with 100% placement in her field. Median pay is 50k, going to dump that into the house till it is paid off, save and invest till 50 or 55 and either run a Charter in Belize (sp) or something to that sort. If I live that long, not a great track record with my family after 50.
