  • Is a Vet visit necessary?

Dog tore off one of it's toe pads. It's barely hanging on and the dog is favoring his damaged foot when it walks. There's no blood and the dog doesn't yelp when you mess with it. I'm thinking about just cutting it clean off, or putting it back on with super glue or something. Does anybody know if it will grow back if I snip it off?

My dog tore up his pads on all 4 of his paws last week running around the pool outside. We cut off any hanging parts and put neosporin on his paws. His were really bad and took about 3 days before he could walk around again, but they heal up surprisingly quickly.

If he's chewing on his paw because it hurts you may have to tape a sock to his paw. It's better to leave it open if you can watch him though.

No, use super glue on the pads and stamp them in dirt if you still need the dog to move around.

Also if the dog can lick its own wound, that's best for it. Don't put a sock over it.

It is not best for a dog to lick a wound you fucking idiot. Their mouth is full of bacteria. Go back to welching on bets, at least you're good at that.

This happened to my dog. Held her while wife fixed her up . Cut off hanging pad. Then used a powder we keep fir small cuts to stop the bleeding. Can't remember the name but you get it at pet stores. That part hurts so be ready fir the dog to wiggle

You're a fool. You most certainly want the dog to keep its own wound clean if possible. Do your research before spattiing out ignorance. Yes, a dogs mouth is filthy but its also necessary to let them clean it.

How is it "cleaning" it with its filthy mouth dumbshit? Ask any vet and they'll tell you the same thing. Take your GED and shove it up your ass instead of trying to give "expert" advice. I bet you'd try to fix a clogged toilet by shoving paper towels into it you stupid son of a bitch. Don't give potentially hazardous advice when you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

I'm speechless.... You're a very ignorant pet owner. I have dogs get cut all the time I know exactly what I'm talking about although you'll never accept that. I'm on my phone otherwise I'd find the proper information for you and explain in detail. I know I have to break it down for you to understand.

Again let the dog clean its own wound if possible, ill stick to that. Although obsessive licking to where the wound will not heal is not okay.

Surely I'm not the only person knowledgeable on the subject and somebody else will chime in.

Last time I checked having your GED has nothing to do with dogs in general. What are you trying to imply here?

I'm not implying anything. I'm stating it rather plainly, Dr. Deadbeat.

It's hilarious the parts monkey talks garbage to me over education yet I hold the better job. No since in bickering about it though. I know I'm right on the dog issue and that's all I care about.
