Where to go with 5 days off?

Look into an all inclusive trip to Cozumel or even a Carribean cruise. You can get everything paid for for 4-5 days, all meals/drinks included for around $1300 on the web. I know Mexico is having problems with the cartel, but Cozumel is relatively safe and hot bitches are always there...just a thought.

We went to Playa del Carmen the first week of June and felt completely safe. We only paid $2700 for 4 people flight/all inclusive. You should have no problem at all getting a 5 day trip for $700-$800pp

Where was this?

Out of Lake City, Colorado (near Crested Butte-over 2 hours away) on the Alpine Loop. We camp at 11k feet in a tent for a week and it is glorious. We started going with Jluv and his woman and this year our schedules didn't match up so we went by ourselves and took our teenage boys.

I was supposed to be camping with some college friends in NM starting Wednesday, but plans fell through and now I'm trying to figure out if there is anything that is cool to see by yourself within a reasonable distance from West Texas.

I considered taking a flight to Denver(besides DFW or Houston Denver is the only flight out of here for less than $800 short notice) and driving around to breweries for a few days, but the long tours at New Belgium are already booked and that is the one I really wanted to see.

there are SO many other places to go besides New Belgium. Go to the smaller breweries. check out the beer fly section on beeradvocate.com

Thanks for all the suggestions I ended up taking an all day road trip Thursday from Midland to Fort Davis, Alpine, Marfa, Carlsbad Caverns and back. Borrowed my old Mach 1 from my sister and it was a blast.

Guadalupe mountains



Got up Friday and decided to head to Ruidoso for gambling and trout fishing. Went to my first horse race and came out $7. Headed to the Inn of the Mountain Gods and drank bookers till the sun went down. Then hit the craps tables and more than double the money I brought for gambling. Over all it was a great weekend and for those that haven't been to Ruidoso, you should check it out.
