  • New braunfels where to go for dinner?

Going to spend night before going to schlitterban. Where to go for dinner?

  • #2
Located beneath Gruene’s landmark water tower, in the ruins of an 1878 cotton gin, overlooking the Guadalupe River, the Historic Gristmill has been considered one of the most unique dining spots in Texas for nearly half a century.

    Enjoy!

My wife and I loved it. Stop by Greune Hall and stand where many true country artists stood and poured their hearts out.

Stop bringing that place up, I do not want all the undesirables to find out about it.

Gristmill is the shit, and so is the tavern on the gruene.

I don't remember it being a steak place. Maybe that's why your food sucked, you ordered a steak instead of what I remember being a homestyle cooking place.

At the Gristmill get the ribs. If they aren't on the menu that night still ask for them.

                      Best ribs I've ever had.

If you want a place that has a/c check out Gruene River Grill or Clear Springs.

If you enjoy a 30-60 minute wait, then Gruene is the place for you.

I prefer the Buttermilk Cafe, Adobe Cafe, or Mamacita's. They're all in NB proper so less tourists.
