When you use an "s" to describe a noun "cops" this means plural or more than one. I don't believe there was any mention of challenging more than one so your title should read "cop" with no "s" therefore meaning only one person. You d-bag!

He was using this example to start a discussion... Likely a discussion about holding police officers to the standards that citizens are held to.

There has never been acceptance to a "National Police Force".

Would you guys support a "NPF" to make a national standard for police when it comes to training, fitness, and accountability? Since each department has different policies, procedures, and training, it would make sense to standardize policing so that every citizen knows what the acceptable standards are.

No. That would be unconstitutional as the only police force the Feds should have is the FBI/CIA. That's it. Police already have standards. Problem is, cops ignore them and hide behind that blue line. It doesn't sound like the citizens (I will not refer to citizens as civilians when talking about cops because cops are not military no matter how much they cross their fingers and wish) do not understand the acceptable standards. Sounds like the police officers don't

It's an idea to actually start making bad cops who kill and injure citizens (and their dogs) to pay physically and financially for their abuse of power and public trust

I would accept a state wide police force but not a national one. I believe that there should be compulsory service (full time or reserve) in the force by all able bodied males for a minimum of 2 years sort of like the draft in the good old days. Select officers who showed good qualities would be given the option of make LE a lifetime commitment if they wanted to. I would also want to clean the dead weight out of out criminal code at the same time we switched to a state wide police force; no more locking people up for crimes where they are the victim and the perpetrator at the same time.

What a stupid idea. Poilice forces are already full of enough idiots and you want to give every 21 year old a gun and a badge? Yeah, there are no problems with that plan.
