Exactly. With the military, there is constant supervision. Not so with the popo.

This. We also already have a statewide police force, it's called the DPS.

We have police forces at every level. City, county, state, and federal, and you've got to worry about each one.

Exactly. The current organizational structure is working OK, the current problem is accountability when bad decisions are made at any one of those levels.

if you have a plan requiring some kind of shot to be fired wouldnt it be a good idea to make sure every mofo there with a gun understands to hold your fucking fire?

This is beyond fucking retarded. Cops just feel that they can anything and if it wasn't for a video they had the lies all set up, fucking pathetic...

that's why you see police officers and their unions fighting to make it illegal to record cops 'in the course of their jobs.' If they fuck someone up, they dont' want proof

No, not every 21 year old. I want to give every 18 year old a gun and badge after a grueling boot camp that also teaches civics and the true purpose of having a government and laws.

Hook every young man to a senior officer who is at least 35 and let them learn.

You also missed my part about clearing out the bad laws. If the cops were not busy enforcing bullshit laws they would have the time to actually do some good instead of just keeping their boot on the necks of a non compliant citizenry. We could quickly have a force consisting of peace officers instead of the police force consisting of the cops (hall monitor snitches) that we have now. In today's world peace officers are the exception and not the rule. We need more good officers and the sooner we get them the better off we will be.

And how would we pay for this? AND it'd require a constitutional amendment

Im all for cops doing their job. I try my best not to break any laws.

it has became apparent in the last 10 years they have became more trigger happy, and think that they are military. I love seeing the 300 pound fatty sherriff in my town mall ninja'd out.

I respect the job and most people that do it. You come at me with a attitude from the start, we usually have a problem.

It will not need a constitutional amendment because the feds will have nothing to do with it. Do it at the state level and call in the militia. If people are unwilling to do it do not allow them to get any state licenses at all, ever. Pay for it from our school funds, the money being used to funds current law enforcement, and the savings from not having to keep a quarter million people behind bars in our state prisons. More savings will be realized with less people on probation, and parole as well.

So you want to force people to become cops at gunpoint? Please keep these great ideas coming!

Edit: Fresh out of highschool, at 18, no less!

That was my thought. "You WILL be a cop or you get penalized." So you are going to force someone to be a cop and turn them loose with that anger, on society. Right
