  • Ever been happy AND pissed at the exact same time?

I get to work this morning a few minutes early. It's now 9:15 and nobody else has shown up. Couple minutes later in strolls one person. Fast forward to 10:00, still us two sitting there. We both check our 2012 Holiday schedule, and it only has July 4th, Wednesday as a day off.

I text the boss and ask if everyone has the rest of the week off or something. Fucken HR updated the holiday schedule and now Wed., Thurs. and Fri. are days off for July 4th. Appearantly this was done well after me and a couple others printed the fucken schedule and HR did not tell everybody. The other guy is in our NC ofice, and one was working from home.

Sooo, I was pissed I drove to work, but happy to get the next 2 days off!

Fucken outsourced HR, they need to notify people if a published document changes!

    /rant off

I was running late one morning a few years ago, got to work about 10 mins late, to find that the time change was that weekend, and I hadnt changed my alarm clock. Instead of being late, I was 50mins early, and had time to go get breakfast.

Yeah, and now I am stuck without lunch plans! I was going to go to a place near the office, but that's out now! Maybe go to some place off 377 I have not tried yet.

At least traffic was pretty light both ways.

Go down 377 to Roanoke. The Roanoke plaza seems to be putting up a new place every other month... I went down there a few weeks or so ago and I was impressed with the progress of that whole area...

Yeah, there are a ton of places there, we go every once in a while. I'm gonna try some small Mom and Pop type place if I can find one. Like that little Jalapeno's Taqueria place on 377 just south of main street. Place has like 6 tables, but the food is great!

Now you will be laid off for breaking and entering. Plus if you logged onto the computer system they will get you for tampering with work records during a holiday. Congrats.
