His dumbass and stupid annoying girlfriend keep buying dogs and getting rid of them. You would think they would have learned the second time. They went to PETLAND and over paid for him, he was like a thousand i think. I can get more info if you are interested.

I'd rescue one imo. Hate seeing dogs getting put to sleep. If i ever decide to get another dog, i'm gonna go to the shelter.
I thought about a private adoption, but Ill end up at the shelter when we decide to pull the trigger. It really pisses me off that "rehoming fees" have become popular. I understand a donation to the SPCA or shelter charges, but some jackass that doesnt have any buisness buying a dog trying to get money out of thier mistake is pretty dumb, IMHO. I gave the homeowner that I picked Duke up from some cash because he had taken him to the vet to have him checked out, and went ahead and had his shots done.

My chick had a pug, he was the worlds fattest pug imo. Her dad would feed him big mac meals LOL.

He lasted about 11 years and was a smart asshole of a dog.

All three breeds that I mentioned are too much of an open mouth dog for me personally.
For small game though, there's nothing finer than a good feist.

Haha I knew there would be a police comment somewhere.

To the OP we have a Schnoodle. She is a great little dog annndddddd she doesnt shed. Not a big barker either unless the Mastiff barks. She actually sounds like Dino form the Flinstones when she gets wound up.

Now on to the Mastiff. Best dog I have ever owned hands down. Very gentle and loving dogs. Now for the bad stuff. In her chewing phase as a puppy she could knaw up my wifes favorite flip flops in two seconds flat. They do have expensive taste in shoes also. She will go in the closest and select the most expensive one she can find. She did grow out of that though. Funnest thing was my wife had some mickey mouse shoes and was kicking the Mastiff with them all day aggravating her. Yeahhhhh the next day guess what the wife found tore up in the living room? Now the next little problem with them. They slober and drool like someone having a seizure. You will need to carry around a rag to wipe thier face off or you will end up looking like you have gizz on your shirt. You will also need to clean your walls once a week or paint your house a nice brown color. When they sling thier floppy ears around the drool becomes a projectile. Great dogs thats for sure but they have their issues. Plus remember the bigger the dog generally the shorter the life span.

Always had min schnauzers growing up and they are great dogs. My wife and I have a min. white schnauzer and a yorkie/schnauzer mix. As well as our new monster lab/weim mix.

About two months old, the new pup is around 35-40lbs now.

Rehoming fees aren't always about trying to make money off their mistake. It deters people that can't afford the upkeep on a dog from getting a free dog, and then not following up with proper care and feeding.

They're really hard to beat when it comes to the tree rats!!! Also really great at getting pups fired up on some hogs. Very good nose too! Badass little dog hands down.

My grandparents had several as well as my dad. We are thinking about a very young Dachshund/beagle mix. We are both liking it.

If I were to get a small dog it would be a Begal. I think they are cool. But I like big dogs and I'll stick with my German Shepherd he is a bad mofo.

We had a rescue dog that was that very mix, and he was excellent.

My wife has a toy schnauzer (~10lbs full grown) and it's an ok dog I guess. I would avoid the toy and go for the ~20lb mini instead. The toys are apparently known for health problems and this one is no different. If I were dumb enough to add up all the vet bills and associated costs, she'd be worth her weight in Gold.

My mom had mini schnauzers when I was a kid and they didn't have any health issues that I recall.
