I need to buy my little sister, age 11, a christmas gift today. I'm not Tony, so I don't know what 11 years olds like. She has a Nintendo DS and likes playing it, but I think I've got her a DS game like the last 3 years straight. Trying to keep it around $40.00 because I'm strapped for cash and I don't really like her that much . JK

No, thank God she's not. I asked her that a couple of weeks ago. My cousin told me to get her some "Tom's shoes" from Nordstrom, apparently they're the next big thing.

Clothes are always good, and so is a gift card. It may sound too simple, but the ability to be older by shopping for herself is always a big hit.

Both very good ideas-she's at the age where she will want to start picking out her own stuff and a gift card would give her the perfect opportunity.

I would go with a gift card, they have ones that look like a Visa credit card(at WalMart I believe) that you can use ANYWHERE. As Leah said, at that age, she will want to start picking out her own stuff.

Well, the mall was a madhouse...as to be expected. Wrecks everywhere. I think I saw 4 after the fact in the hour that I was there. The pizza was damned good though. Dicks sporting goods has a horrible selection of collegiate clothing, but I got my dad some nice Nike casual pants, my sis some shoes, then booked it over to academy to get my dad a matching TCU shirt for the pants.

Jeremy...the jailbait at the mall these days is weak. The moms are in better shape than the teenagers.

Also, the amount of men in their 40 that dress like their 16 is crazy. You see some goofy looking people in the food court.
