Dental Hygiene is a good field, and difficult to get into. So congrats on that.
But pulling "at least $1,500 a month" for the 2 years is pretty crazy...she CAN work. Lets get that straight...she CAN work. Maybe it'll be a little too much effort in her perspective now to do both, but don't tell yourself it's impossible. I mean even working 10-20 hours a week will help you to not get stuck with $36,000 in student loans for a 2 year degree. If you still can't stand it, I agree with going federal. I think Sallie Mae does a lot of different types of loans as well.
