last night at a red light in the middle of cleburne a truck tried to race me wich im not dumb enought to do he takes off fast and spins his tires 30 seconds later i get pulled over and get a ticket for sudden starts and stops and i was arguing with him for 30 min that it was the truck but since im an 18 year old with a mustang it had to be me. anybody know the best way to get it dismissed

I just have to fix this. This is driving me more insane.



Last night I was at a red light in Cleburne when a truck pulled beside me and offered to race. Even though I am 18, I am not foolish enough to engage in an exhibition of speed in such a public location so I declined. When the light turned green, despite my refusal to engage in said activity, the gentleman sped off, spinning tires and generating a very environmentally unfriendly amount of smoke and burnt rubber.

As I was shaking my head and commenting to myself about the possible repercussions on such displays as well as the danger to public safety, an officer of the law approached my window and informed me he had stopped me for engaging in street racing with the heretofore mentioned truck.

Despite my vehement protestations to the contrary for an extended amount of time, the officer cited me anyway. I am very distressed about this as I am innocent of the charges on the citation. Does anyone know of a way of having this dismissed other than paying the fine and accepting the derogatory marks on my driving records?
