  • 52*F... it's been a long day

woke up at 2:45AM, left the house at 3:30AM

WAY too many unscheduled pit stops including helping a dude change the blown tire on his boat trailer at the first truck stop we hit at about 6:30AM

I usually make it from Alvin to Creede in 15hrs or so at 90mph, but I've got one ticket currently in adjudication and another coming up, so I set the cruise at 5-7 over and tried to stay awake

19hrs later I'm sitting on the deck at ~9,000ft, no jacket, no shoes/socks... sipping a scotch and soaking up the 52* dry cool air

been going pretty much non-stop since I left Colorado last summer. It's been an awesome year, but really haven't allowed myself ANY sort of R&R other than pistol whipping myself with alcohol here and there.

It feels good to be in rarefied air again

    that is all

Wishing I were there as well. 104* in the ATL. Good for you Forrest. When are you planning on making the final move up to CO?

Not like an old 12v that was a debate as if to whether or not the turbo would ever spool above 8000'?

You must have missed the memo, Sean is in 75070 until further notice.

This post definiately makes me miss the Rockies in CO, sucks that the last time I was there, I damn near lost my leg. My Dad is working up in a park outside of Aspen, and asking me to come "camp" for a week in his 50ft slide-out trailer.

Hell, I may make the 2 hour drive over to Tahoe this weekend, just to get away from this June craziness/stress that's finally over.

No, I didn't miss the memo (or your bitching about the unseasonably warm weather). What better way to avoid you than going to the place you just left?

Well no reason to type angry!

I have a feeling my 1) vacations will increase and 2) long term plan to return will be fueled with new-found motivation.

Jealous here. One of the best summer trips we had was winter park in July. 40* mornings were awesome.
