well i realize the thread is probably pointless being that christmas has come and gone but then again i guess we can work on next year.
    to your two statements
    a. i suggest spending more time with your family so they actually know you and know what you may or may not like. cause no one says "hey let me purposely buy something this person will not like/use" so if they know you they can get it right. quit being selfish and go spend some family time outside the holidays.
    b. as far as the price range there is nothing you desire? wow. i think that is also the beauty of a gift. cause when someone knows you they can get something for you that you didnt know you'd like but actually did. example- a few things my gf got me that i never asked for or even thought about was
    1. a beanie with a running horse on it(mustang) $20
    2. a neon clock with running horse logo. $80
    3. a mustang parking only sign for the garage $10
all of which were bad ass to me and all with in your inlaws price range
    asshole

I don't have a problem with what he's getting at... they asked him what he wanted, that wasn't good enough for them... so fuck it...

my inlaws didn't get me shit, and I'm fine with that... they don't need to be spending any money on me.

my mom got me a totally fucking awesome gift that cost her 25 cents

          Your mom buys cheap condoms.

Haltom, it's not really your place to tell others what christmas is about. For all you know, the guy isn't christian so baby Jesus might not matter. Plus, his family might be full of dickheads.

lol, she got me this book from 1994 that was this mens hairstyling guide. She's a librarian, and it was a group that came in donations that ended up being sold. She paid 25 cents. It was one of the funniest fucking things I'd seen in a while. Mom definitely made my xmas!

fair enough. but imo: not christian, dont celebrate christmas. im not a holy roller by any means but i still have my believes. dont know his family and i'm guessing if it isnt my place to learn him some christmas its prolly not my place to call his family a wild pack of dickheads either

I'm not christian and I love christmas. Although, I'm not some asshole atheist trying to prove a point at every turn. I like hanging out with my family though, and if it takes a holiday like christmas for me to do so, I'll take it.
