yea, let me just let them give me something i have absolutely no use for that will sit in the corner of the garage forever, get no use, take up space, and get no use whatsoever until it is thrown away in a few years. Yea, do that vs getting something i could sell and get cash for to actually use. man you are as fucking stupid as him.

I'm not spending a fucking penny on my wife's family this year, but I tipped our waiter at the bar $50 on $90 last night.
Christmas is about the spirit if giving... NOT about the spirit of making you feel like you're validated as a human if you spend $20-$50 on everybody in your circle of friends and family because they too are doing the same thing in order to validate themselves in their minds.
If you're expecting a gift from me, you can keep on expecting I guess. I give gifts to the ones I love throughout the year. I don't need a fucking corporate-driven holiday to tell me the ONE day I'm supposed to be generous.

That way you're not losing money on listing fees paypal fees etc by selling stuff you don't need in order to get cash to buy stuff you do need.

The thing with them is, they want to get you what they want to get you, and want you to like it, 2 years now Ive put on the fake smile and said 'thanks' and sold it on ebay. So to prevent all that, just get me a gift card.Originally posted by 78X View Postthere i have what? you are in agreement with the forum fuck up in life and now it is settled? you are an idiot.

You are just kinda a prick that thinks christmas is about getting things when it should be about spending time with family and doing things for others.

well i realize the thread is probably pointless being that christmas has come and gone but then again i guess we can work on next year.
to your two statements
a. i suggest spending more time with your family so they actually know you and know what you may or may not like. cause no one says "hey let me purposely buy something this person will not like/use" so if they know you they can get it right. quit being selfish and go spend some family time outside the holidays.
b. as far as the price range there is nothing you desire? wow. i think that is also the beauty of a gift. cause when someone knows you they can get something for you that you didnt know you'd like but actually did. example- a few things my gf got me that i never asked for or even thought about was
1. a beanie with a running horse on it(mustang) $20
2. a neon clock with running horse logo. $80
3. a mustang parking only sign for the garage $10
all of which were bad ass to me and all with in your inlaws price range
asshole
