So apparently a bat now resides somewhere in my back yard. I've noticed it every night for the past month or so, freaky little fucker.
Silent and nearly invisible, it strafes my pool and flashes in and out of the lights on my flag pole. At first I was like "cool, it's eating the bugs". Until the other night I had some company. I warned them about my new resident and got the appropriate look of disbelief. Then, they spot it, and are amazed. But then it's starts lowbuzing them, closer and closer each time, causing a serious freak out. That fucker gets close, sometimes right by your face. I saw the eyes on that damned thing.
So I'm not sure why I only see one or two, or where they post up during the day, or exactly what it is. Should I be worried? Fuckers carry rabies I'm sure. I can tell you though, I carry a torch through my yard now.
