And your efforts are the beacon that will bring massive change to the world of policing.....
I know, sarcasm.
Like I've said hundreds of times. Bitching about it on an internet forum is going to do absolutely nothing.
It's being talked about and the information is spreading. Or are you of the mindset that more cops aren't being caught doing this shit than 20 years ago?

Like I've said a few times, it does inform other lowly citizens. Don't get me wrong, I'm not on the F - 03trubluGT side of the fence, but I'm certainly not on the F-FF side of the fence either.
You do overly defend and that's when I quit paying attention to your posts. There was a time you spoke up on the police side with logical arguments, and documentation backing it up. Then when it got stupid you more or less let it go. *I* understand you're not going to be the one to change and rules, regulations and so forth.
In fairness, the F - 03trubluGT people do the same and I generally quit paying attention then as well.
Anyway, the point of the post was that just because they are not CHANGING anything directly with law enforcement - I've learned quite a bit about some technicalities and how some officers really don't seem to care.
The biggest lesson I've figured out is that the common citizen can't just give up various rights/privacy to make it easier for you (Which generalized to me as everything from FBI, local LEOs, and so on) to nail scum. We can't base everything on the lowest common denominator.
What straight pisses me off is that on the spot judgement is what LEOs can do. It's then up to the citizen to prove otherwise, at their expense and time. I'm on the track that if the LEO is proven wrong, the city should have to reimburse the citizen for time, expenses and lawyer fees.
I know this won't happen since the cities/etc make the fines and ...
another thread for all that. I'll continue to support you posting as well as FF and other posting FTP threads. We can ignore anything we don't want to see.
I know Lantirn, but I do have to try. Cops have all the power and authority and if you question it or bring misuse of it to light, you're attacked instead of the offender.

Doesn't seem like there are. Would you like a quick review of cops getting the wrong address and opening fire? Or chainsawing through the door of a wrong address? Or beating people in cuffs? Or threatening to arrest kids just because he felt disrespected?
There are no checks and balances. If a cop hits me, no deal. The city, if I can prove it on video, may write me a check but that's it. If I hit a cop, I'm going to prison for a long while AFTER I get my ass beat
I am not sure why we even reply to his posts; he will never support cops being held to any standard.
Yea, because there are absolutely NO checks and balances in place.

That is the way it seems most of the time. How else do you explain a cop going to the wrong address and shooting someone's dog and the city and department do nothing?
If you're driving around with a badge, a gun and the ability to fuck someone's life completely just because you feel like it, then you should be under a microscope. If actions against you are treated magnitudes worse than actions you commit against others, then you should be under a microscope.
And I'm pretty sure someone does follow me around and criticize every movement.
Yea, because there are absolutely NO checks and balances in place.
Frost, I agree with the premise of your assertions and statements; however, I do not feel that the most law abiding citizens have anything to worry about...yet. How many times have you been a victim of law enforcement?
I do agree with the statement above that LE should be geared more toward the solving of crimes and less about active prevention or control...AND...roadside tax collection of course!
Just once. Someone called them out and they tried to do that foot in the door while applying their shoulder to encourage me to allow them to enter the house without a warrant under the "Why don't we come inside and talk?"
I won't bore you with how I handled it as there's enough here that think I'm unstable but I didn't have to worry about them again.
