Ok, is this year off to a worse start then last year? I'd love to believe that this year is in good shape since we've had so much rain. I hate this state during summer months. Any of our DFWM meteorologists compared us to last year yet? Are we behind on the 100+ degree days? I know I am probably just dreaming when I think "mild winter, mild summer"...

Since we really had no winter and it started hitting 90* in March this year, I would say that we are in a definite early start this year. Remember the heatwave hit last year in August.

I really thought this would be a tough summer due to the very mild winter we had but I agree with SSMAN, we are doing MUCH better than we were a year ago.

Last year we were hitting 100 in May. This summer has been much more mild.

By today, we had 8 days @ 100* or higher last year and had 71 days total. This year we finally hit 100* yesterday, we tend to hit 100* at least once in early June.

It's not even close to last year. The killer last year was the record high lows. It never cooled down at night.
