^^^^^^ my wife saw this on the news today while cleaning and couldn't belive it had to ask when it was ok for a cop to pull you over to just take your stuff I told her never but it's the old saying if a cop wants to screw you over he will make up a reason. And I don't ride a crotch rocket and never have. This a like a cop taking a cell phone from a long haired college kid so he can see if there is pics of him smoking pot he was fishing for a crime with no proof just seeing if he can find any after stealing and lying and making stuff up.

When I read your posts, I mentally visualize someone trying to say your words just like I am reading them. Punctuation, in spoken language, are the pauses and breaks in speech.

The rider was riding at the back of the pack and wasn't stunting. He wasn't the kind of rider the cops were going after, but since he chose to participate in the ride, he put himself at risk of getting fucked with and having to deal with the cops. And wearing a helmet cam only puts a bulls-eye on you, and he should have known that. Whether the cop was right or wrong, the guy shoulda known what he was getting himself into and been prepared to deal with the consequences. I've been pulled over and ticketed for stunting and other shit, but you don't see me coming in here and blaming the cops when I get caught.

The rider has a good case, and I do think the cop was just picking an easy target (the opposite of the guy in the vid below, fyi, lol) to make an example out of. The cop shoulda waited for a legit violation before pulling him over, but I guess his raging boner got the best of him.

You can definitely get pulled over for no/concealed plate, but I actually got stopped last night on my DRZ for rolling a stoppie on a side street in my neighborhood...had my gopro case on my helmet, but the cam was charging (he didn't mention it). I saw him coming towards me as I was rolling on the front tire, and I rolled it to a nice, controlled stop, and turned and rode towards him as he lit me up. I killed the engine, coasted up to him and had a nice talk. He noted my plate was dirty and mounted under the tail (but not concealed, like all my bikes), and just said to take it easy and have fun. Didn't ask for liscense, insurance, inspection...nothing. I was cool to him and he was cool to me. Most times, that's all it takes.

Yeah I saw the this shit on the news and was waiting to post the video to see how all of the Stunterz and FTPs were going to try and defend that clown with the GoPro on his hemet. They brought all this shit on themselves the year before and all of the bullshit they have been doing. The cops were watching their online activites and knew and were waiting, they had extra patrols everywhere around Dallas. I'm not going to look for the link, because I dont give a fuck, but they were holding up traffic and someone decided they had enough and drove through/around them. I wouldn't have done that and I carry. I would have let them finish or video taped it, but I can see where people are tired of their bullshit.

We had this argument on the old board. It went a lot of pages and it'll never be resolved.

The problem is that both points are to the extreme. Do I feel that the guy should have run his car on DNT through the pack of bikers? No. Do I think that when a pack of bikers wants to slow down to 35-40mph on a major freeway to do stupid fucking stunts and slow up traffic they should be left alone? No. If they made stunting on public roadways illegal as hell (same break down of legality as street racing, per example) and required dashcam/video evidence for a conviction, we might have a way to stymie this bullshit. Until that point, it's a neverending circle of crap.

Brought all this on themselves??? I don't have a bike, don't ride one or stunt, and never will. I don't approve of those stunting and get pissed when I see it. That doesn't mean that this guy was guilty of anything in the past. For all you or the LEO knows, he could've bought his bike the previous weekend and just started riding. Did you watch the last video, they were (stuntaz) riding wreckless to the deputy in his squad car, brake checking him, cutting him off, they are lucky the deputy didn't stop his car and start shooting, if it would have been a trooper, there would be dead stuntaz and nothing anyone could do about it.
I don't condone what the deputy did, thats bullshit, but he knew that this guy had evidence of the shit that was going on earlier.

And before you clowns start running your head to me, I was riding while most of you dickbumps were learning to read/write/add and subtract. Did we do some shit like that, hell yes, but we did it in places where there was little to no traffic. Mostly on service roads on Luna and 635.

If a car were coming through with an emergency, they would have accelerated and kept going once they got through the pack...and no one woulda fucked with them. But this guy was focused on one bike and kept after him until he swearved through the HOV lane and smashed the into the concrete barrier, sending the rider over and into oncoming traffic. Then shots were fired. I don't ever condone using a gun (or other deadly force) to resolve a traffic dispute, and don't personally know anyone that carries when they ride.
