    (am i doing this right?)
What does that have to do with this thread? The cop in this thread had to make shit up in order to pull this guy over, his video even proves it.

I guess when you get pulled over for doing 157 mph in a 55 mph zone in a yugo, you'll care.

        Yep, saw the video.
Saw ton of lane changing without a signal, and shoulder riding in just the first few bits of the video.

I guess i can't see the problem that everyone else does who has a problem with this.

That's because in every bike thread you post up as a bike hater and you can't get past that.

I'm surprised it wasn't you who posted this story. FTP App on your phone not updating properly?
As he should? Are you shitting me?

That was a ticket in the 90s.

Going to jail and having your stuff impounded is a little different in my eyes.

Then why wasn't he stopped for that instead of "I want your camera so I can go get someone else?" If he was breaking the law, why the false pretext on the stop?

In case you didn't catch it, those were other riders doing that stuff, not the guy who got stopped.

The cop had no right to his camera, regardless of why he was stopped. Unless he had a warrant, which he didn't.

I'm usually on the side of "nothing to hide," but that is BS.

Did you see the same video as the rest of us? Because it shows the guy that wasn't changing lanes or riding on the shoulder got pulled over.

I saw a cop pull over someone with evidence on their person.
Seems like a smart move to me.

Don't want to be hassled by the cops, don't record people breaking the law?
Seems like an easy concept to understand.

                          You are an idiot.

The cop had no idea what was on that camera, and his only probable cause was that the guy rides a sportbike.

Participating resulted in a ticket. Being caught in the act of street racing was a trip to jail.

Right and don't want to be stopped to have your car looked through, dont' have a nice car. Dont' want cops kicking in your door for no reason and shoot your dog, don't have a dog. Hell, didn't want to be put in an incinerator in 1939 Germany? Dont' be Jewish. It's not about police acting like storm troopers, it's your fault.

Now, the reason I asked about asking to look through the cruiser's camera is as a taxpayer, you paid for it. You have FAR more right to it than this cop did to this guy's camera.

If you get arrested for a valid traffic offense, the camera goes to the cop. Viewing the contents of the camera is a different story. Not sure if exigent circumstances would fly in this case.
