this is the one I was referring to. they put it on sale every now and then for $299. Very nice. has drawer liners already in it. drawers "latch" closed and are roller bearings.
Easily nicer than most of the craftsmen stuff and the right price. They have a larger/wider roller box for $359 right now too that I would love to have but have no need for as I can't take it to the track unless I had an enclosed trailer again.
anyway, I have this box and have nothing bad to say about it at all and I am a tool/toolbox snob.
This is the one I'm going to get. I've looked at it in person and it's built pretty damn good! I've got a coupon to get it at $349 until Aug or sept too. The top is $299 right now also.
Just picked up the 44" Harbor Freight box tonight. Have a feeling I'm going to fill it up so will probably be getting the top chest sometime soon as well. That black Craftsman box is getting evicted.

Several mechanics at work have this same box and it holds up well being used on a daily basis. For the price you can't beat it....
thats the one I have. Be careful, 20% off doesn't apply to tool chests. It's pretty good.
Not the 20% off coupon. In the July issue of Street Rodder they have the coupon for that box at $349. They run that same sale a couple times a year. I should have picked it up before they quit letting you use the 20% off coupon on them. They had it listed on the HF website at $349 then you could use the 20% off, $302.XX OTD! LOTS of people on the garage journal forum were doing that. I think that is why they quit letting you use the 20% off for tool boxes.
Toolboxes at Costco can be a mixed bag because they change manufacturers all the time. However, sometimes they put out some damn good stuff. Just get a good look at the drawer slides and the casters for durability. It can be pretty easy to tell if they are cheap. Also look at the metal for the body and drawers. Look for cracked or flimsy welds. Check the drawers for rigidity..
Outside of that, I like the Kobalt toolboxes at Lowes. I'm just not fond of it when they put a shitty minifridge or a cheap radio on them. The cover on the radio seems to break off fairly easy and the minifridge is only good for a 6pack.
No, he's saying they've put so many restrictions on the coupons now that about the only thing you can use it on is a screwdriver (as long as the screwdriver isn't on sale, lol).
