Agreed. I was there for all that nonsense. He was embraced by his community for all the wrong reasons, then later they turned on him. His life was hell from the moment he exited that car that night until the moment he died in that pool. His personal demons are no reason for ignorant people to celebrate his death. Its really a sad story to be real about it.

It appears that the racial divide is alive and well...

Blacks still hold that clown in high esteem, whites still think he was a law breaking pos that should have pulled over and the pool cleaner is upset because he just lost a customer.

yep,he served jail time for robbery, was running from the cops while drunk driving, resisted arrest and after all this still got in more trouble, but is felt sorry for because of some dumbass cops being stupid. Guy was a criminal and a loser that got rich off police officers stupidity.Did he deserve the beating he got? no, but if he would have been a little smarter it would have never happened. The 2 passengers did what the cops said and nothing happened to them, you start punching cops and guess what, bad stuff is gonna happen.

The blacks such as Jackson and Sharpton used his name as part of their racial cause, but the man himself was treated like shit by his own people because he refused to become the militant type that so many of his community wanted him to be. After the TV cameras went away and all of the publicity subsided, his community turned on him. So many of his own people beat and robbed him because they thought he had a lot of money when he really didn't. His addictions took over his life in addition to all of the damage that had already been done to him emotionally and physically. He was a man afraid of his own shadow after that beating he recieved by LAPD and his own people. He paid for his crimes ten times over.

He had quite an arrest record before AND after his famous incident. He caused many innocent people to get their asses kicked on his behalf. I guess we can call it even...

This guy drowning in a swimming pool is just further proof that all stereotypes are a direct result of the truth.
