Then again I didn't get a degree in TV/VCR repair, carpet installation sciences or space station hotel management either. Higher education pays off if you do it right but it has to be the right kind of higher education.
So this degree I have in the studies of old whorehouse paranormal activities won't pay for itself?

I joined the Marines and was a door gunner on the space shuttle. No loans to cover and my debt is paid in full.

Truth to that last part. I let myself get sold on a physics degree when the head of the physics department at A&M Commerce came and gave his presentation on their program. It sounded great, people with physics degrees were employable in so many fields. I aspired to get a ME degree, however, family and financial obligations kept me close to home. So I went for it. 2 years later, graduate with a degree in Physics (theoretical, materials science, advanced electronics, quantum mechanics) 5 years later, I'm still looking for a job that pays worth a fuck.

When did you graduate? I graduated with my Physics degree in 2007, went back in 2009 to work on my IE degree until they cut off my financial aid.

Got out spring of 07. Thought about a masters a time or two, but the only way that would benefit me was if I mastered in safety and worked towards being a safety director somewhere.

I've got about 6.5k to pay back, and with the new job I'm going to have that knocked out in a matter of 2-3 months. I can't wait to get this shit done and over with.

Good to see someone from the same college here. I wish I had been able to finish my IE degree before my financial aid ran out. I keep telling myself I need to go back, however, to get it paid for, I would have to go through the appeals process and it would undoubtedly be on loans. :/

Dude...replacing a physics degree with an imaginary engineering degree? You should really think that through :P

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.
