Also, if you have to have the AWD, the next gen WRX is supposed to borrow heavily from the mechanicals in the BRZ but be on its own dedicated platform, distinct even from the Impreza.

That said, anyone who thinks this car needs LS6 levels of power is completely missing the point of the car and I can't imagine why they'd buy it to begin with. Additional power is coming from the factory at some point, but, as James May would say, it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than it is to drive a fast car slow.
