    CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION L05
    TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINES
    Dear: (Name)
At Chrysler Group LLC, you can be assured that we are changing the way we look at quality. To prove our commitment to quality, the company is investing in and prioritizing improvements for every vehicle that we build. As part of that commitment, we are also targeting existing vehicles on the road today and contacting our customers to provide these quality improvements, at no charge, that will help to improve your ownership satisfaction.
We are recommending the following improvements be performed on some 2008 and 2009 model year Jeep Wrangler vehicles equipped with a 3.8L engine and an automatic transmission.
    Recommended Service:
The transmission cooler lines on your vehicle may weep transmission fluid at the hose-to-tube crimp joints.
    What your dealer will do:
Chrysler will service your vehicle free of charge (parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will replace the transmission cooler lines. The work will take about one hour to complete. We recommend that you make an appointment with your dealer to minimize your inconvenience.
    What you should do:
Simply contact your Chrysler, Jeep, or Dodge dealer, at your convenience, to schedule a service appointment. Your dealer will collect the necessary information to ensure that the appropriate parts are available so your service can be completed in a timely manner. Although not required, we recommend bringing this letter with you to your dealer, when you bring your vehicle in for this service.
    If you need help:
Please contact the Chrysler Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-853-1403.
If you have already experienced this condition and have paid to have it repaired, please send your original receipts and/or other adequate proof of payment to the following address for reimbursement: Chrysler Customer Assistance, P.O. Box 21-8007, Auburn Hills, MI 48321-8007, Attention: Reimbursement. Once we receive and verify the required documents, reimbursement will be sent to you within 60 days.

Good to know but the one I'm looking at is manual. I'm gonna go look at it sun. If its as nice as the pics I'm gonna buy it. I pretty pumped. I sold my cj-7 last summer. This was the first spring in 12 years without a jeep. I have to say I miss it.

You can still check the VIN to see if there are any outstanding issues. I have the automatic. I never thought I would own an automatic Jeep, (it was one of the things overlooked because of the amazing deal,) but Robert and I came to the conclusion that these weren't well suited for a manual transmission. With you being a CJ man, this Jeep is going to be a complete bastardization of your jeep convictions. They take some getting used to, but if it's a good deal, go for it. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of deal are you getting?

Was mainly wondering if there is any issues I should look for. This will be our third jeep so I know what to expect as far as comfort and mpg.
My gf has a '08 wrangler X. Pretty fun, but the mileage sucks of course. I also prefer the soft top it has over the hard top.
Taking a trip to Corpus next week. Looking forward to the fun on the beach.

Same here. My last Wrangler only had a hard top, and it was a PITA during the random stormy times. I thought about getting one for Winter time, but last Winter was so mild, it didn't make a difference.

17000. Already lifted with new rims and tires. 48k miles. I know its not a cj, but I had a lot of fun in my xj with the Windows up and the ac on. And I could drive it daily.

I have an 08 wrangler 2 door and absolutely love it. Greatest vehicle I have ever owned. The mpg is shitty at about 15mpg, though. Took the soft top completely off today...bow and everything and removed the backseat. Time to go on an adventure!

The Unlimiteds are weird looking to me unless they have a lift, so get that thing in the air! Might throw some goodies under the hood to give it a bit more hp and also some gears if you put 35 or larger tires on it.
May God give us strength and courage in the time of our darkest hours.

We have a 2012 Unlimited Sahara. We like it a lot. The new motors they put in these are great. Good get up and go and good mpg. We took a trip to Oklahoma (about 3 hr with 2 hrs highway and 1 hour backroad) and averaged 21.7 mpg. We had it at 23 mpg until we got in a long backup that screwed that up. Her normal average is 18mpg and she does hardly any highway driving.. just back country and city roads to get to her work.

DO NOT get a 2011 or older one. They have the 205 hp V6 in the 4 door and you will be lucky to get 14-15mpg in them. They also are so slow it is scary getting on the highway.

ha. Funny you mention that. We had some fun being able to actually drive during the bad winter weather last year with other people sliding around lol.

She's a girl, and simply bought it cause the top came off. I've been looking through catalogs now at parts and wanting to actually do something to it. Her sister-in-law's dad has some Jeep outfitters place in Burleson and could hook us up on some good deals she says.

Get a 2012, or I would pass personally. The older ones are slow as shit. I rented a 2012 for two weeks and enjoyed it.
