I am having a brain fart. Does the thirty day notice you give to your tenant have to be on the first of the month or can I give one mid-month?

So I gave him notice last night, verbally.
I am looking online for written notices and everything I have looked at only has my signature on it, not his. What is the point of this if he has no signature and I don't have a copy with his signature? Will an email outlining our conversation, move out dates, remaining rent etc be sufficient?Originally posted by Cmarsh93zDon't Fuck with DFWmustangs...the most powerfull gang I have ever been a member of.

If I send him an email, and he acknowledges it, then there shouldn't be any way to dispute that, yes?
I guess I am pushing for email because I will have receipt of the exchange.
Every single written notice I see does not have his sign off - which will not show an ounce of proof he received it. Yes, I could go certified I suppose but his mail goes to another address that a) he doesn't go to very often and b) would take weeks to get it.Last edited by 347Mike; 06-26-2012, 04:18 PM.Originally posted by Cmarsh93zDon't Fuck with DFWmustangs...the most powerfull gang I have ever been a member of.
