So how are you liking your new gig? What are your plans for school coming up?

My brother in law is a fireman. His schedule was 1 day on 2 days off. He went through classes to be an EMT and I believe it's 1 on 3 off now.

That sounds lovely. Please, tell me more!

I can't remember the name of the temp agency that does the operator hiring. I'll try to get it at work. If you have an Engineering degree or related experience (military, etc) then get your resume together and submit it to HR. Associates degree is required for a technician, Bachelors for an Engineer. There isn't a whole lot of hiring the past couple of years, but there is some.

I'm down anytime. We have from Saturdays 7pm to Monday morning off, then each day after 7p.

I'm down, lemme get a paycheck first. The place I'm at now has me paycheck to paycheck.

We have had a 4-10 schedule for about 8 or so years. It would be VERY hard to go back to 5-8s.

I love it. This is one of he calmest places I've ever worked, and if I graduate to a machinist position, I'll be able to take study material with me to work. My plans for school? Crank through it as fast as possible.

I'm scheduled monday- Friday 8-6, and Saturday 8-noon. That's been my schedule now for 5 years. It kind of sucks but the pay is great and i get 3 paid vacations a year.

Volt is the temp agency. I'm not aware of an educational requirement for an operator position.
