It's more of a life-style, I think. It's really tough to live unselfishly, and really pretty abnormal for us humans. I help folks when I can or when I think about it. To really live totally unselfishly is damn near saint hood status.

If I can show kindness to people maybe they will too to someone else.Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

I've always done what I can to help people out. Stopped to help a few stranded motorists, even if I was in a hurry/running late. Helped a few co-workers fix their cars/trucks. If I know it is a good deed I am doing, I am not worried about what I get in return from them. I know I get the satisfaction of helping someone out in a jam. I can't tell you how many times I've ended up on the side of the road with a flat/broken down just to watch people blow by, local sheriffs deputies, friends, everyone. I try to put myself in their shoes and help if I can. Though if the look like a murderer or some shit...I'm out.Originally posted by LeahBest balls I've had in my mouth in a while.

The only time it pays to pay it forward is if you're social networking. I suck at that shit, so I rarely get anything back on my good deeds, but I dont mind because I do enjoy feeling better about myself when doing it. I cant count how many times I've helped people out on this site with random problems mostly computer related and never charged them, I dont mind it gave me even more of an internet god aura.

I think it pays. I am not one to blow people off or make things more difficult unless they deserve it, and that's pretty rare. I don't normally dislike anyone, that really takes a lot to make me not like you lol.
But again, I do believe in the "what goes around comes around" saying.2009 Mercedes C63 AMG

I try to help ANYONE in need. Including stopping to help stranded motorists, picking up hitch-hikers, giving to pan handler's etc... ALL of which my friends and family give me grief over. I constantly hear, "that's dangerous, you're going to get robbed, they are just going to buy drugs" etc etc etc.
I've been helped by friends and strangers numerous times in my life, and I feel it necessary to pay it forward.
Karmic retribution, returning good deads, paying it forward, what ever you want to call it...... I completely support.
Just a relatable example.... I have made countless purchases through this board, and have yet to have a single problem. If it weren't for the gutter, my mind would be homeless.
