I try to help people whenever I can, and I have had people help me in return. I generally try to do things the right way and I have been burned before, but not enough to stop me. I just try to learn to read people a little bit better.

Grove is right on the money Mike . The only way Carma works is when you are true in your intentions . I was taught that you always do the right thing for the right reason no matter what others do . If people take advantage it is on them and they will get there's . You should not be concerned about when or where they do because its not for you to judge . I can tell you first hand I help tons of people (quite a few from this board) and it always comes back to me . My friends joke I can fall down in shit and come out smelling like a rose because I am lucky . It's not luck , its Carma . Being a good person will reward you in many ways but the reward should not bet the motivation .Big Rooster Racing

I think it does good to pay it foward. It may not come back to you right away. But its always good on your soul & conscience to do the right thing. Most of all it just feels right & feels good even if it doesnt come back. I always try & do the right thing by people stranger or friends or family.GOD BLESS TEXAS

I try to do what I can to help someone out. I catch myself getting aggravated when I do something for someone when they need it on a moments notice and they don't even offer to pay me anything for going out of my way to help.
A good buddy told me like this, "I always do stuff for my friends not expecting anything, and if they give me something, it's just a plus. If they don't give me anything, I'm not upset because I wasn't expecting shit to begin with."

Only live this life once, might as well be as helpful as you possibly can.

I'm bad about being lazy/reluctant to help people who ask for my help. I think it might be because I have a problem asking for help
But I love randomly helping people. People hood-up, stuck on the side of the road, etc.
The other day I was at my buddy's shop and one of his techs fucked up a clutch install on a 3500 dodge 4x4. He was going to stay late and re-do the install in order to get the truck out first thing in the AM. He's been working his ass off non-stop. Good for business, but he's been wearing thin. He looked really defeated, so I was like "hey man, you want me to throw that clutch in that truck for you?"
We hung out and drank a few beers while I hung the flywheel and clutch and we stabbed the tranny and all was good.
