I went and took the test tody and ended up with an 82. I plan on going into the Army, moreover, my line scores were between 119 and 129. I am unsire still of which job I would like. I would like either to land Health Care Specialist or Calvary Scout, neither available right now anyways.

From the veterans on here, what are your MOS's and how has your experience in the military been? If you could go back knowing what you know now, would you have chosen differently? I appreciate the service of ALL of you guys and gals.

Go Infantry. I ran a 96. I wouldn't trade a minute of it. You play with all kinds of weapons, rifles, grenades, mines and TOW missiles. The first time you're behind a MK 19 you'll know you did the right thing. The infantry is the only one permitted to wear the blue cord too

Pick a field that you can come out of the service with and apply in todays economy. Let them pay for all your training and schooling. But if you wanna blow shit up then pick a MOS. I was a 19 Kilo and loved it.....

I'm an officer in a Cavalry Recon, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition squadron. But really, in theater, we do the same thing the infantry guys do. Who needs blue cords when you get cav hats and spurs? :P

People who think a soldier in spurs looks stupid. But what was said earlier is true. Figure out what you want to do with your life but may not have the training for and then go do that. I'll tell you from experience: If you want to do Scout or Infantry, other than police, there isn't a civilian market for us.

Honestly? If you're going to chose the military, I have to chime in on the infantry. It's in the handbook. But the logical part of me, the part I ignored when I chose the cord over JAG, says to do something with a civilian market if you dont' plan on serving your full time

As an update, I ended up with 13 Bravo and I'll be in Ft. Sill mid November. The thought of being able to fire off 105's was too badass to pass up, and good thing that bt/ait is close to home. Any artillery guys on here?
