Hmm Must have been a Special court martial. After Iraq I saw a 6 turn into a 2. Was interesting to watch.

Field grade Art 15 (held by battalion commander or higher) is the lowest level that can take rank from an NCO, E6 or E5 and only 1 rank. In that case it's possible that he was issued 3 separate Art. 15 for different offenses but all held at the same time, but that's fairly rare. They tend to just summarize the offenses and send it to Court Martial.

Summary Court Martial (convened by a BC or higher) is the lowest level that can take rank from E7 and above and is typically investigated by an O3 or above.

Special Court Martial (the most common court martial, referred by a BC or higher but actually presided over by a Judge typically O4 or above). From this you can get a full bust of any enlisted rank, bad conduct discharge, 6 mos confinement, and 2/3s pay for 6 months. This is actually a federal conviction and goes on your criminal record. I believe you can technically bust down officers under special court martial, but if the offense is that severe it tends to be a bad conduct discharge instead.

I didn't call you a prick, I said don't be a prick. You never singled me out individually but you did mention LEO's, so that included me by proxy.

And I was called out here. Once more, you never see cops say "Fuck while it wasn't bad, it WAS against rules and broke the public trust so they should hammer the hell out of him and put him behind bars."

Unfortunately, cops don't have a 'send them for another tour in Iraq/Afghanistan (send the to Detroit with OCP?) option.

Oh yeah, this guy was a D bag. Refused to leave the truck during a firefight but sent his entire team to the fight. Somehow, he got a 5.56 in the thigh (he said the enemy must have AR's) and demanded a bronze star
