I understand why they did it too, but it doesn't make it right and/or permissible. I hate these mother fuckers as much as the next guy, but shooting them in the fucking chest is plenty for me...pissing on them is only shameful.

Sort of the way the forum cops like to tell us we armchair quarterback things when we've never been a PO? I gotta tell you guys. Collectively, you're doing a fantastic job of reducing respect for your profession by engaging in these arguments on the net. Sometimes it's better to just shrug things off and keep trying to do the best job you can, rather than come up with backwards ass ways of trying to justify your colleagues idiotic behavior in a public forum.

It was enough for me too. Well, at the moment. After I saw what they did to my friends and watching people bleed out? I'll be honest, I want to go back and go off on my own to settle the scores and exorcise my demons

Again, do you really want to compare the two?
are you required to live off base? the comparison can be made. i have to pay for everything as well. most cases in the miltary you can live on base and eat on base. if you want to spend your own money living off base and eating what you want then thats a choice you make on your own not one you are forced to make. if its so hard to make it as an e1-2-3 whatever then people wouldn't join the military...

i do not feel they are in the same ballpark but went with it anyways.
Difference is, these guys broke the law HERE. With people they were to look after. The Marines in question pissed on corpses who had tried to kill them.

                MASSIVE difference

No, you aren't unless you're over E4. Then you live off post. If you live off post, then you not only have to pay for your own groceries you have to pay in the chow hall if you decide to grab chow.

It's not easy to make it as an E1-3. That's why a LOT of people go in as a 3 through either experience or college time. And if you've noticed, .45% of Americans have served in the military. Which kind of negates your point

While I agree that your statement is factual, give me a break. Your replies in this thread have been the daycare equivalent of "Why am I in trouble, look what Billy is doing!!"

I'm curious what your thoughts are of fraternization in theater.

you are required to live off base as an e-4 or you have the option for more pay to live off base after making e-4?

If it's two adults of equal rank? Go for it. If it's two adults of unequal rank that aren't under each other's command? Game on. You're an adult in a war zone. That day could possibly be your last. Carpe Diem.

I meant actual violations of fraternization, same chain of command, significant difference in rank in theater. Main reason I ask is we had an issue earlier this deployment, it's been handled but I wonder if you'd give the same out of country pass as you do for the Marines.

As far as I'm concerned, it's all in black and white in the regs. and UCMJ.
