Mainly not wanting something that'll be torn up or start breaking down just after a few uses. How big is the one you no longer use? I may be interested in it.

I've never really had a problem with sleeping in tents or sleeping outside, used to do it all the time. The tent is more for the possibility of bad weather, I don't mind camping in some rain either.

Have you tried the Army-Navy Store? When I go camping all I bring with me is a tent, sleeping stuff, food, heat source, knife and gun. Oh yeah my dog goes too, just depends on why I'm camping. Dear hunting=no dog, while hog hunting=dog and lots of beer.
        Wanna see my care face???

It's a "3" person tent. Plenty of mesh so that you don't sweat your dick off in the summer, and a rainfly with place to stash gear. I've slept 2 people in it very comfortably with packs in the tent.

            steepandcheap.com for some random deals.

I've got a Columbia tent and it has been through some down pours without leaking.

REI outlet, and Cabela's bargain cave are pretty nice, but I think some people take too damn much camping. I think I took way too damn much last time, and that was just a 2 day trip.
ZOMBIE REAGAN FOR PRESIDENT 2016!!! heh

For car camping I have a few tents from wamart and academy that work just fine. Cheap tent, cheap but heavy bag, coleman stove should total out about $200 from academy for a two person setup. Rei has quality equipment and is well stocked. They also have better stock online. I buy most of my gear at Campsaver http://www.campsaver.com/ or Backcountry http://www.backcountry.com/ but if you go for quality gear do some research before ordering. For serious backpacking try the forums at Backpacker.com

Sounds like my setup; cheap tent, warm bag and a nice grill. Good links, I'll need to check them out.

Thanks for the replies, I'll start checking some of this stuff out.
Well I make do with the cold weather by having a good bag. Warm weather I usually just sleep on top of my sleeping pad to cushion me from the ground.

Just remember that when it's a 2 person tent there's barely enough room for 2 people and not much else so buy bigger than what you need unless you want to store all your stuff outside the tent.

I saw Adam do that last July in Colorado and it's a pretty nice setup with the hammock and tarp.

Yup, some good deals can be found there as long as you are patient in shopping for what you want.
