The next guy that low balls me by more than 50%, I am going to ask what kind of car they drive, nada it, offer 75% lower than what it shows and then tell them we will have a deal if I can buy their car at that price.....
About 30 minutes later he texts me and let's me know who he is and asked what my price is. I told him 7700 firm, which is in the ad. He said that was more than he was looking to pay and I asked what is he looking to spend? If it's 7500 i'd let it go.
About 30 minutes later he pops back with 5000, followed quickly by a text about how it's cash in hand, he can get it right now, no BS, blah blah blah. I responded back with LOL and let him know I had a dealer offer me 7200 already, which I declined.
I asked him if this tactic works for him and he says all the time.
I sent back a text a bit later saying that I would sell him the bike for 5k cash.
5 minutes later, sent another text saying only if he sold me his car at 75% of it's value and it needs to be valued at over 20k.
Followed by another text saying, "That sounds pretty stupid right?".
He didn't respond...

So am I the only one thats bothered by e-mail offers? It seems like common courtesy to go look at an item, especially a vehicle, before making any kind of offer. Pictures help, but I've looked at some junk that looked good in pictures. I can understand if a person looks at my item, and determines its only worth $XX to them, I don't have to accept their offer.
I did this when I bought my mustang. Told him what it was worth to me, and why, and he accepted my offer. Did it cost me some time and gas? Yes, and I looked at some junk before I found it. That's the price you pay buying used stuff.
I'm only 40, but when I started buying cars all we had was the newspaper. You had to call someone, then go see it. Why can't people go see somthing if they're really interested in it?

heh, I f'ed up a gun deal 2 weekends ago. Y'all may have seen in the Armory where i Posted a 20" bull barrel 5.56 upper.
Long story short, I confused it with another that was in my possession and this one was only 18". I was about to load up in my truck (hour drive to grapevine to meet, in fairness only 20 minutes for him) and was staring at it. Got a measuring tape...18". Called the dude and he was a little irritated and called off the deal. (not rudely.) Called me back an hour later and decided to go with it.
Obviously, I felt like a damned moron.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

For parts I usually just list then 50-60$ higher than I want.
Vehicles I've made some good and bad trades on stuff. When I had my 91 Stang on CL this one kid kept texting me wanting to trade every apple iPod/pad/tv product apple makes as he needed a car for college. Finally told him to go get a bicycle, get education, and a job then come back and see if I had the car still.
Now the Stang is on CL listed as a 91 stroked mustang. It's the kona blue 91 hatch. Motor is stock besides bolt ons.

This guy must have flagged my ad, Cause I cant find my ad for my 1993 Mustang GT for shit. Anyways this is the shit I get
Ok, last night I was watching Pawn Stars on the history channel. This lady brings in a couple of spoons, and the owner Rick says that her spoons were worth like 75.00 each. I just checked my mothers kitchen and she has like 50 spoons like the ones on the show. So how about I bring you like 20-30 of these spoons and 1500.00 cash?
BTW I still need the title loan, I've had my eye on this new Dale Jr. shirt at wal mart, and if I give you the 1500 it will break me. So PLEASE make sure the title work is in order so I can get the loan ASAP
Let me know, Im ready to head down there.
