Well, if anyone is Hispanic in here, go back to fucking Mexico you illegal piece of shit, i'm tired of paying for your anchor babies bills.
Doesn't matter if they are leeching off the system or if they have medical insurance.

When you obtain any insurance you are pooled with other people. Your rates reflect what they believe they are going to pay out + expenses to provide insurance + an acceptable profit.

Are you posting this while on a 100 mile ride?

Btw, I chose not to run 5 miles a day because I would have to do it while at my desk. lol

BMI is crap. Oh, and it also changes every other year or so. IMO, it's gub'ment adjusting them so it can justify whatever health agenda it has at the time.

I don't take what you say personally kim, nor do I walk up to fat people and verbally try to get them to commit suicide (most of the time). I however lump obesity up there with the guy who needs a new liver at 40 because he drank like a college freshmen for 20 years straight. I have NO sympathy for people who waste their lives by over indulging in shit, poisoning their bodies, and then expect modern medicine to be able to save them at the last minute and help them lead happy normal lives. Maybe they shouldn't have had 30 JITB taco's a week for 20 years just like you'd say to a lifetime alcoholic maybe you shouldn't have put back a bottle of whiskey a day when he's on his death bed. Does it suck someone is wasting their life away to early grave in a fast food drive through? Yes, but 99% of time people don't get obese because of some psychological eating disorder they do it because of little respect for themselves and no foresight for their future.
          X2

Morbidly obese people disgust me. I'm appalled when they use the electric carts at Wally world when they should be walking. I'm sickened when I sat next to one on an airplane, their fat spilling over the armrests and he had to get a seatbelt extension so he could buckle up. If this Obamacare doesn't get killed, MY insurance will be going up to pay for their unhealthy lifestyle.

Personally, if government and businesses really cared about your health, they'd give everyone a "free" gym membership. Health insurance only addresses the symptoms of the problem, not the problem itself.

FWIW, I'm 6'0" @ 215lbs wearing loose 36" waist (extra room for a CCW). That puts me at "overweight" on the BMI. BTW, I'd still be "overweight" @ 185lbs. "Normal" weight for me is 137-183lbs. And I can't do a deadman's float now...fat be damned!

            I definately acknowledge I'm fat.

As far as me choosing not to run 5 miles, if my heartrate increases, I black out. I still treadmill and do my walks, but running? I have no desire to faceplant concrete AGAIN.

I think this is an issue, not just on this site, but everywhere. People as a whole are so large these days, overweight people can spot someone at any given moment that is even larger. Just because there are fatter folks out there, does not mean that you aren't fat yourself.

And I've also noticed that overweight people try to push eating more to other people... people are always telling me to eat more or eat a burger, I'm too skinny, etc. Bullshit, I'm just normal, right where I should be.

Why does your heart rate increase to the point of blacking out? What condition do you have?

                    Just curious.

I'm currently training a person with MS who was diagnosed 18 years ago. She became progressively worse and was walking with a cane for the past 3 years. She now can individually swim 1.5K, bike 40K and run 10K. Her first "run" was a walk which lasted 100 yards before she face planted. While she isn't "fast" by any means she is running the 10K now after 6 months (running being defined as only one foot on the ground at all times. If both feet are on the ground at any point you are walking not running.)

She still has her days where her legs won't work but we work around it.

                    Congrats on your weight loss.

This is the sort of thing that this thread is really about.

Some people can't bring themselves to put down a fork. Others manage to overcome real adversity and do the impossible. One man can train to run a hundred miles at a time, another can't manage to stop eating twinkies. Hell, I remember seeing a Nat geo documentary on an 85 year old tri-athlete who didn't run at all until age 55.

To me, it is fine if you want to be huge as long as you are happy. Besides the already mentioned insurance issues, I got no problem with it. The excuses do drive me crazy though because most are complete bullshit.

I have tachycardia along with a LOT of damage to soft tissue of my brain, balance issues because of that and have a really nifty cane.
