University Park woman peddling child porn
DALLAS -- In the middle of one of the wealthiest areas in Texas, the FBI has made a shocking discovery -- a socialite who was arrested for peddling graphic child porn.
Agents raided Erika Perdue's $1.5 million University Park home and seized computers filled with child pornography, according to federal agents.
She lives right across the street from a popular park.
According to court documents, the FBI had undercover agents access Perdue's computer files through an illegal child porn site. Perdue was allegedly sharing child porn unknowingly with agents.
Documents state, "Perdue knowingly mailed, transported and shipped interstate commerce by any means, including by computer, visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct."
The U.S. Attorney's Office confirmed Perdue is married to a wealthy attorney.
Neighbors said they had no idea what was going on.
“I think a lot of people take for granted and assume it's a very safe place and let their kids run free and let them go to neighbors' houses and don't check into them because most of the time neighbors are nice family people."
Court documents stated Perdue "confided that because she has collected so much child pornography, that she could not remember if she had transported the specific images and videos to law enforcement."
Perdue’s Facebook photos depict a sultry housewife...she told agents she traded child pornography every day while her husband was at work.
No local kids are believed to be victims. The pictures were gathered from all over the country.
