  • rc guys... need some help finding a new car

Right now I have a team associated gt2. Im thinking about building an electric car and im not really sure what to get. I really want a 4 wheel drive buggy or truggy. Ive been looking at losi and associated but im wondering if there is something else that is better. I really want a 10th scale or bigger. I was looking at the hpi savage flux but if I decide to race it I dont think there are any classes to race it in.. just lookin for some ideas.

go 1/8th scale buggy, those things are crazy fast and indestructible! I have had a Ofna and a Kyosho KII. The ofna was crap but the Kyosho was badass, but pricey. That being said, I would go either associated or Mugen. Parts seem to be easier to come by for them.

Check out the Hyper TT 1/10 scale truggy. This is one of the most popular kits out there right now. Actually it's really not a kit, it's 80% built. You just add your motor esc, servo, reciever, and battery and take off. There is actually a class dedicated for these things and they are bad. Cheap too... they are 189.99 up at Mikes in Carrollton.

If you want a 1/8 th scale buggy I cant say enough about my Losi Eight-E 2.0. I bought it a few months ago and in my first race with it I got third. It is so fast, smooth, and very durable.

The bottom line is, there are alot of choices out there, but remember this... support your local hobby shop. Sure you may save a few bucks online but in the end the support you get from your LHS will be worth it... trust me.

ya i always buy stuff from mikes and wild bills, partly because its right up the road from me but mostly because when im buying stuff like that i would rather have someone to interact with and ask questions about what im buying
