Ok so you're referencing the Texas unemployment rate. Got it.

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Whats the avg monthly check for UE? When i was last on it I was maxed and could only get 1200 something a month. Far less than what i could live on and consider welfare

I remember reading about them cutting it back. It sucks if you are the guy that needs it but it is just one of those things that shouldn't happen. When you start paying people that long they start to get used to it and the country will end up like Europe with a big part of the population just cashing checks for a living.

Watch them (WH) boast about how they dropped the unemployment rate in the last 6 months come election time. That will be followed with "I told you I would fix this, I just needed time. Imagine what I could do with another 4 years." And the FUCKING MASSES will believe the shit too. They will be chanting his name. Meanwhile they will take his 6% or so UE rate BS he will come up with but personally know 20 out of 100 people they are associated with that are unemployed.

Numbers, percentages, it is all smoke and mirrors.

How about just finding a job? Always more impressive on a resume' that you are currently employed, regardless of who it is than waiting for the next gravy train.

its based off of your current income... I would get the max amount which is 436 a week

I still have a month and I am still looking. This thread wasn't me saying I was planning on riding the gravy train and now I couldn't.. BUT... just in case I can't find a comparable job I wanted to know if I could survive on UE I am not a DFWM baller but I am also not a 40k employee that can go out and find a similar paying job fairly easy.

I fully intend to be employed and not go on UE

I thought it was an average of your previous incomes over a certain period of time. Not necessarily your "current".

For instance, in my case, I would still max out based on the average (6yr history) but if they just looked at my current income (last 4 months) I would get a PB&J once a week and told to find a nice underpass.
