Any recommendations for a mortgage lender

Miyako and I are officially shopping for a new home. I want to get pre approved for a 30yr VA loan and perhaps take advantage of the Texas Veterans Land Board benefits.

Do any of you have recommendations for a lender to work with?

I've used bybotie (Marty Trammel?) from the old board in the past. Not sure if he made it over here. And www.friscomortgageguy.com. Both were quick and easy.

Trey (SVTLURCH ) took care of us and it was totally painless. He would be my first call. I don't know what kind of VA benefits you have as far as a straight VA loan but I would wager he can come close or beat any other options you might have.

Plus unlike a lot of people here he is a damm nice guy. I still don't know why he has not been run off for that

just so you know...the landboard seems to do things a little backwards to industry standards so be prepared if you go that route.

I agree with everyone else on here. Nate is helping me find a house and I needed a pre qual letter fast to place an offer on a house. I called my CU and they were going to take a day or two. I called this guy and he got me taken care of with a quickness. To bad the house no one had looked at in months got a better offfer then mine the same day. Bastards. For the market to be so bad, every house we have liked went under contract the day we went to make an offer on them.
