I like the dark blue ones. The white stripes down the sides are cool though.

The Mustang is nice...gets me around town and I get a lot of compliments on it, but I just see it as transportation and not much more. I really really want to buy a Challenger, but the Mustang is loaded with options and paid for, so a Challenger is definitely not the logical, responsible choice, and I don't need or want a second car - just one vehicle to drive every day. I'm not a fan of Dodge, but wow that car is hot. I go for looks over speed since I'm more of a cruising driver than a racer. I just miss driving a car I feel passionate about. So... What do you think? Discuss.
The car makes great power and is fun to drive, handles very well, it's fully loaded with all the bells and whistles from heated seats , sunroof , to navigation, very comfortable car.
We bought this car used two years ago with 12,000 miles on it. Very low mileage, well taken care of 2006 model. We now have 34,xxx miles on it, it's very gently used and pampered car. I'm saying this because I can't imagine what a pile of shit this car would be with someone who isn't as OCD as I am about taking care of my cars.
These Dodges are just downright ridiculously expensive to own and maintain. The electric fans have needed to be replaced TWICE, the catalytic convertor clogged up at 33,xxx miles, gas mileage is HORRIBLE, the brakes already needed to be completely replaced at 30k miles (over $1500 bucks because they have the huge Brembos that have to be replaced rather than repaired/turned) oil changes are expensive if you run synthetic oil since it takes 9 quarts of oil - yes, thats 100 bucks for an oil change. Ugh.
As I said, I like the car, it's fun to drive, very expensive to own and will not recommend buying one to anyone. The new Challengers are suppose to be pretty damn quick, but unless the build quality greatly improves, it's just an expensive headache waiting to happen.

I don't disagree with anything you've said, however you need to take into consideration that repairs and maint on ALL cars is skyrocketing since the OBDII mandate. Most cars with v8 engines these days are running anywhere from 6-9 quarts of oil, and many of them are requiring either blend or full synthetic. I bet you the rotors could have been turned, especially if they didn't go metal to metal. Who told you they couldn't be turned? Do you still have the old rotors? And obviously, anything rated at 425 horsepower is going to get shitty gas milage. Gotta pay to play, negro.

The V-6's are not that bad. I have one and decided to buy it after testing the '11 Mustang, Camaro but the Challenger was the clear winner. The Mustang is a great looking car on the outside. I really liked it til I sat in the drivers seat. I felt like I was sitting between 2 walls. The console is really tall in the car. I kind of thought of it as a kids car. The Camaro almost got the nod and I was not even going to drive the challenger. The issue with the camaro was I did not care for the vision out of it. I felt like my head was going to hit the top of the windshield. Overall the Challenger suited my needs better. I like the extra room the interior offers over the other cars. All in all you owe it to yourself to go drive and check out all 3 cars and pick the one that suits you the best.
