So I picked up some bikes (with pedals) this week off craigslist for a pretty good deal. Somebody got all butt-hurt, and has been toying with me, copying ads, making new ads with my personal info, etc. I know we have some keyboard warriors on here. Who wants to help me find out who this tool is? If it is possible anyway. He's been bugging a few of my buddies who sell bikes on craigslist as well. I think it's actually been entertaining, but they deserve some of their own medicine.
This is how it all started. I saw an ad about a pair of bikes. I emailed the seller and they called me back. We agreed on a price, and I picked them up. I only wanted to keep one, but couldn't pass on the deal. So I decided to resell one to make my money back and essentially have a free bike. More on this in a sec.
Then I saw another craigslist ad for a good deal on a Trek 1000 in Sherman, TX. I contact the seller and we agree to meet. I drive from Denton all the way to Sherman to find out the address was fake and I would no longer get any responses via email. It's my fault for going through with the transaction without contacting them by phone, I know. Now, it makes since why they didn't call me. Long story short, somebody scammed me out of 2.5 hours worth of driving and gas. Sad thing is, I wasn't even flipping the bike. I was picking it up for a friend's Christmas gift to her husband. She didn't have much to spend, but knew he wanted a road bike. I later found out that I'm the only person the seller responded to, because quite a few people I know got no reply to the ad.
Now back to the pair of bikes I bought at the beginning of the week. I cleaned the one I wasn't keeping, fixed a few things, and posted it on craigslist to resell. This is what happened:
LMAO! Somebody hates me.
http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/bik/2119350989.html < Started with my ad early Friday.
http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/bik/2119424550.html < Some douche's scam ad shortly thereafter.
http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/bik/2119666208.html < My rebuttal after some Google searching.
http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/bik/2120258974.html < Touche. This isn't my ad.
http://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/stp/2120270011.html < Lol. Trying to get personal. Been getting crazy texts all night. My phone blew up till it died. It was actually fun.
Now my other ads in "auto parts" are getting flagged. Someone's a little butt-hurt. I think it's the same tool who sent me on a wild goose chase to Sherman. I'm sure he's got my email saved.
Who wants to help me get this turd back? Any ideas?
