No responsibility? Ask the guy that I just gave paper to because he clipped a trailer while driving on the shoulder to respond to an accident on I35. He did $78 worth of damage to a patrol car mirror and he got discipline over it.

So much for your bullshit mentality of no accountability....
You mean like you're taking the officer's word without evidence?

Have I ever said that "you" (Frost) treated those prisoners at Abu Gharib in a disgusting manner? Did I lump you into that same category?
As I see no problem with what they did, I wouldn't care if you had. As they were not protected under the Constitution nor were they considered POW's under Geneva 3, I wouldn't care if you held them down and put a sawzall through their skull while their friends watched.

Difference is that happened to enemies on foreign soil. What cops do here are to American citizens protected by a Constitution by people they are paying.

Remember when I told you guys that I got a 3 day suspension for saying "CPT" and a black female was "offended"?

That's 30 hours of pay for three letters. Do you think that is appropriate?
I have no idea, what does CPT stand for?

                    • I am so sick and tired of hearing about people being offended.

On a side note, if you knew what it meant you probably shouldn't have said anything. I know if I said anything like that in my office I would be gone lickity split.

If you are nervous about ever stop you make, or want to look tough, then I guess you can do it.

Personally, I think it is very unprofessional. There is no reason to put your hand on your sidearm unless you think you might need it. To just put your hand on your gun is intimidating, and I would not appreciate it if I were on the other side, so I don't do it.

But if an officer does it, do I have the right to shoot him because he looks threatening and I can't get away?

He did shoot the dog, but only after the dog showed aggression, chased him onto the porch, and tried to bite him after he had retreated as much as possible. He shot the dog at a downward angle at center mass (in the back) while standing on an object.
As to the first part... No. Just because my neighbor doesn't have a no trespassing sign posted does not mean i can walk in his front door and sit down at the dinner table as if I owned the place. Just like you can't come in my house without a warrant or probable cause. Do you think things out before you post? As for the second part, there are many other ways to put a dog in check before pulling a pistol. In the other thread, you're signing your own praises that you would have done this, that, and the other before shooting a drug addict that was eating the face on someone. Now, you are defending this guy for shooting a DOG (not even a big scary one), after supposedly jumping up on a post. Does his baton not work? Taser not work? Who the fuck needs those when you can just shoot it and get away with it? All you nee to separate yourself from an aggressive dog is an object in your hand. A book, a baton, a fucking flower pot.... What ever happene to giving him a seift kick in the ass? Hed have tucked tail and ran. But no, let's go straight to shooting. The dog probably deserved it, the little hoodlum. Who the fuck does he think he is protecting his Owner?

You are assuming a LOT of things, especially since you did not conduct an investigation, and are taking as fact 100% of the owner's side without a SHRED of information from the officer. You have already convicted him of wrongdoing before garnering ANY information. That is soooo hypocritical.
The only evidence I need is for the LEO to answer two questions. We're you on their property, and where was the dog? Did you shot the dog? Ok, you're fired. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Oh, yes. Let's hold them accountable for petty shit. But when they take a life, we will just let that slide. I mean, that's comparable. It all evens out...
