Did you not say the officer was justified because he THOUGHT he may be bitten? So I should be able to defend myself against possible harm by someone who is openly carrying items that could be used to harm me. You're worried about the teeth of a dog, I'm worried about your Glock, baton, pepperspray and taser.

      • After being a meter reader for 3 years, fuck it. I would have shot the dog too.

Let's put it this way. I better not find out I work with this guy.

          Wrong.

Though every single one of those things should happen, none of it is going to replace the hole left by Officer Littledick flexing his authority. That's what you morons don't understand. I make a mistake at work, I have to pay for it and/or get fired. You guys make a mistake, someone or something dies, and you get a paid fucking vacation. All that accomplishes is giving more incentive to fly off the handle like a little bitch the next time you're in the same scenario. And spare me the due process bullshit. You think I, or any other non Union employee have a right to due process when it comes to employment? Fuck no we don't. I could get fired tomorrow because my boss thinks my shirt is ugly. Due process in employment is a goddamn joke, created by lazy fucking union employees.
Again, you are expecting that the officer woke up that morning and thought "geez, it's a great day to shoot a dog"..

You are willingly ignorant of the disciplinary process and show that you are just a fucking idiot when it comes to it.

You chose to work where you work. If you don't like the conditions, go somewhere else.

When a dog shows its teeth, it is giving a warning that it is going to use them.

My Sig in my holster does not impart the same threat, as does not the holstered baton, Tazer, or pepper spray.

When you rest your hand on it, yes it does.

I'm not expecting or assuming that the officer did anything other than the facts we have. I don't care if he did wake up thinking its a great day to shoot a dog. The fact of the matter is, he shot a dog. After HE intruded on the dog's territory, where he had no right to be. Is that a true statement, or not?

I'm not willingly ignorant of anything. This guy will be placed on paid leave for an investigation, correct? He will then get a slap on the wrist, and something in his file about the incident. Correct? This guy isn't going to lose his job, we both know that. And my point is that he should be fired. No paid leave, no mark on his file. Walking papers is what he deserves, along with a lawsuit.

I'm not complaining about where I work. I absolutely love my job. And I'm too proud to be a union bitch. I prefer to earn my employment and the rewards of such on my own merit. If I fuck something up, I've got no issue taking the fall. Police have no personal reaponsibility when it comes to their police work. Or f they do, they certainly don't exercise it.

                    • Would you like videos of cops approaching vehicles with their hand resting on their weapon? Or officers walking up to someone with a hand on a baton? A dog I can run from if it growls at me, or kick it. What are my options when a cop walks up to me with a hand on a pistol or baton?

                        Anything but growl.

He, or anyone else, has a right to enter the property he entered unless there are signs prohibiting entry, or was given verbal direction (which according to the story he was not). He did shoot the dog, but only after the dog showed aggression, chased him onto the porch, and tried to bite him after he had retreated as much as possible. He shot the dog at a downward angle at center mass (in the back) while standing on an object.

He won't be on leave at all for this type of incident. He probably finished his shift and reported to work the next day if it was his normal schedule. You are assuming a LOT of things, especially since you did not conduct an investigation, and are taking as fact 100% of the owner's side without a SHRED of information from the officer. You have already convicted him of wrongdoing before garnering ANY information. That is soooo hypocritical.

No responsibility? Ask the guy that I just gave paper to because he clipped a trailer while driving on the shoulder to respond to an accident on I35. He did $78 worth of damage to a patrol car mirror and he got discipline over it.

So much for your bullshit mentality of no accountability....

                            You said "you" meaning "me".

You are again assuming that I act like those you want to criticize.

Have I ever said that "you" (Frost) treated those prisoners at Abu Gharib in a disgusting manner? Did I lump you into that same category?

How many days off without pay did he get? Just curious

You don't get days off for something like that. It is not allowable to divulge specifics on discipline, but I can talk about my own.

Remember when I told you guys that I got a 3 day suspension for saying "CPT" and a black female was "offended"?

That's 30 hours of pay for three letters. Do you think that is appropriate?
