Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

          Here's another point.

A small officer or female officer could be fully justified in skipping the use of force continuum and going to deadly force.

Do you think this is justified?

The officer got in a shit-ton of trouble because he didn't use the minimum amount of force to accomplish the goal.

In the zombie situation, someone like you could get away with it because you are lanky and weak.

I, on the other hand, would be in serious trouble because I resorted to deadly force first.

You just can't grasp the concept, can you?

          • Just because there are other dangerous jobs out there, doesn't mean an officers job is less dangerous. A measely $70k a year is not enough money to risk your life on a daily basis.

I'm not talking about 20 other situations, I'm talking about the one this thread is about.

There are plenty of cops making much more than 70k a year. Isn't that right, Matt?

Yes, at one point I did. I would much rather take my chances on the road rather than dealing with the less than stellar citizens our society has to offer on a daily basis. Getting shot at or sticking my hands in drug addicts pockets who carry dirty needles are not things on my to do list. So to say a truck drivers job is more dangerous is a bit of a stretch in my opinion.

They aren't in any real major risk...that's the whole point. 70K is more than enough for what they do.

The nerd in me wants to post a graph with $$ on the y-axis and fatalities on the x-axis and these jobs plotted over it.

How you can say there is no major risk in being a police officer? Please explain.

Statistics explain this you dumbass...are you really not seeing that? Everyone is subject to risks...and cops have a whole slew of tools to mitigate this. Seriously...how are you missing this?
