Thank God for scholarships and grants as well!

I work right next to an attorney that has $160k in student loan debt and makes the same amount of income that I do and all he does is drink himself to death...poor guy.

$0, paid cash/credit card and used $3,000/yr in tuition reimbursement.

If I use a credit card, I pay it off before the next semester. 21 hours left til I finish my Bachelors, and the Masters program starts next Fall.

I had $24k when I graduated from college. That was all paid off long ago though, probably been gone for about ten years.

One of the smartest thing I ever did was get only what needed for school (hand jobs to pay for living expenses) and started paying as much as I could as soon as I got a job.

                  Whaaatttt?

$0. A combination of a partial scholarship, work, and parent funds kept me debt free.

Considering that the UT Graduate program has tuition that is higher than giraffe pussy on stilts, I can only imagine.

I don't know how she ended up with it...but wife has about $10k in a 9% Sally Mae loan. Others are 6% or less. Did you guys already have good credit when you got the loans? Any refinance options on these? Almost always need collateral right?

This may be our next economic crisis.

I owe 0 but paid my way.
