I've got it once, about 3 or 4 years ago. It turned several large areas of my skin into this itchy crusty soup that would spread if I scratched it and touched another part. Ended up with it on both legs and arms and was miserable for about 3 weeks. Had to go to the Dr twice about it.

At first I was thinking I would be alive as I have only had my tonsils out (strep throat, maybe surviveable but I am not sure), and then wisdom teeth (not like you'd have most of them anyway back then). I had shitty eyesight before lasik, but that won't kill you. However, I remembered having to have a transfusion when I was born so yeah I would have been dead within hours of birth.

My wife would have died during child birth, had I survived long enough to knock her up.

Honestly with my alcohol consumption on a daily bases. I honestly see myself making to another 8 years, before I have problems with my health. Do I care? Fuck no. All I need it boob and food.

It is crazy to think about, and something I have pondered from time to time. Even most of the people that "would have survived" based on their responses, they probably would have been killed off by famine, war, or disease before they reached 40 or 50, at least until you get get into the more modern era like around the Revolutionary War. I'd still be dead at birth so it's a moot point for me. Fun to think about, though.

You guys who have had multiple hernias, joint surgeries, compound fractures, etc.....you should get Darwin awards.

you realize you can get a hernia by coughing or pinching a duece. they are extremely easy to have happen
