  • Where to stay in Vegas?

It's been 4 or 5 years since I last been there and just wondering where are some good places to stay these days as they are constantly building new hotels and remodeling older ones. I've stayed at NewYork, Stratosphere, and MGM before. I liked and disliked each hotel for different reason and I'm sure it will be the same with any other place. All we really care about is good food ( bonus points if they have a good buffet), nice casino and nice all around property. Looking to spend about 1k or less for a 3 night trip in October. So if anyone has been lately and liked their experience let me know.

The Aria was nice when I was there in Feb, but it was my first time in Vegas, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. Everything there was stupid expensive. I think we spent $60 or something dumb like that at their sports bar for burgers and fries and sodas for two. I wouldn't eat their buffet, so we had the one at the Bellagio, and it was good. If I ever go back, I'd stay on Fremont St, probably at The Golden Nugget, just because it had so much character.

Stayed at Aria last year and it is a sweet hotel with nice rooms. However MGM seemed to have the most half naked women walking around.

I heard they redid the Golden Nugget downtown a few years ago. If you like old vegas, try it out. It's no that bad of a cab ride t the strip

Caesars is my favorite. Flamingo is right across the street and has a food court where you can eat for about $10.

We stayed there since the redo...really enjoyed it. I personally like staying on the old strip myself....

I like planet hollywood. Aria is.nice and the cosmopolitan is nice as well.

Been tons of times and planet Hollywood has the miracle mile mall, right in the middle of the strip and nice.scenery.

If you want to stay on the strip the Bellagio is bad ass. I just got back and stayed off the strip at Palace Station. If you have a rental car the strip is convenient. I personally will stay downtown next time as mentioned above. You don't have to walk a mile between casinos and there was so much activity there.

Depends on your budget and whether you have a car or not.

I've stayed at Mirage, Wynn, Luxor, Excaliber, and Bellagio

Of those, my favorites would be the Wynn (because the rooms are so Nice) and the Mirage (because it's the most fun)

When I go next month, we're staying at Aria which I hear is Really really nice!

                      Good Luck

Rent a car!!!! You can always rent cars in vegas for like $10-$12 a day. That way you can go wherever you want. Take a trip to the hoover dam. Go shoot machine guns at the gun shop.

Having a car is a must!!!

                        Good luck

At the Aria, the biggest wall in your room is completely one-way glass, so you always have a kickass view. The drapes, lights, TV, temp, etc is all automated and controlled with touch screens. The casino is super nice, but the tables are pricey. It's very modern and sleek. You won't be sorry if you stay there. Once is enough for me, though.

I wouldn't get a car, personally, because I stayed fucked up.

Last November we stayed at Excalibur. It was ok and fairly cheap. Like 65 a nite. We are going back this November for another sema visit and looking at either treasure island or planet Hollywood. Both have good reviews and last time there it seemed really nice. And they are both right next to our favorite bar and BBQ place!! Haha

If you have a car or don't mind riding public transportation Mandalay Bay is my favorite. Ive stayed at Flamingo, Bellagio, Harrahs, MB, and Caesars(3 times). By far MB was my favorite. Super nice rooms, cheap, and some of the best rules for blackjack on the strip. The only downside is that it is so far down the strip.
