2nd. or 3rd. one, as the first one usually makes it.

Buck. I was following my wife home after visiting with friends when they ran in front of her car.. Corner of 1845 and Cotton St., they ran out from beside the freakin' Whataburger Bumper cover, headlight, turn signal, grill, hood (slightly) and fender smashed. It'll be drivable with a headlight, turn signal and a radiator (I think), but looks like shit. Oh well, we've been meaning to retire the POS, guess we have a good reason now.

I'm happy her and the kids were not hurt, seemed like when the deer ran out everything went slo-mo and of course I got the helpless (can't do a damned thing to stop it) feeling. I'm just really glad it bounced sideways instead of coming over the hood and into the windshield.

He was horny. We sure are having a weird rut season this year.

Glad to hear everyone is good to go. Which car was it? I'll be on the lookout for some parts.

Mid-90's Buick LeSabre. After making sure her and the kids were alright, I went back to see if I could find the deer, but didn't look too far off the road. She hit it at a solid 55 mph, and it spun about 5 times that I saw from being behind her, so if it lived, it didn't live too long. Trust me, I'm hillbilly enough that if I would have found it, it would have rode home with me in the back of the Jeep.

After looking more carefully at the car, the damage looks mostly cosmetic due to the plastic that GM used on the car. The only exterior sheet metal on the front of this car is the hood, the fenders are even plastic.

I figure I can put another headlight/turn signal assembly on it and drive it until we get her another kid hauler, it's just going to be fugly. Been looking for a good deal on a 'burb, Exploder or Tahoe for a bit, guess I need to look harder now.

Exactly. She can go clean out her panties, but getting hurt, well, it just plain hurts..

I hear that. Trying hitting a big buck at 65 mph with a '82 Mercury Lynx.
