              took some pics of the 787 last year at dfw. Just got to check out the 748 and A380 at LAX. pretty sweet airplanes.

                  I was interested in this until I googled the 787-800. It looks just like a regular plane, just a bit bigger.

                      You have no idea how much more advanced this AC is over past Boeing's! If I am lucky I will be able to fly it as F.O. before I retire. The 787 and the 777 are same type rating but a 13 to 15 hour differences course.

                        The 787 is a shorter than a 777. It's considered a widebody airliner, though.

                        The fuselage is all composite. Traditional aircraft are framed first and the skins riveted on after, whereas this one has entire ~19ft diameter barrel sections built up on a mandrel and baked in oversized autoclaves, and the composite frames installed to the skin. Everything is built from the outside in, and they fly entire completed sections to Everett, WA on a modified 747 for final assembly. Boeing wanted a modular aircraft that could be snapped together, so to speak.
