Oh yeah... 5.5 mil or not, they obviously make enough to pay for their own adoption.

Not only that, but if their hearts were really in it, there a plenty of kids, siblings, just WAITING to be adopted through the foster care system. It certainly looks like they have the means to provide them a well-fed, materialistic home to survive in. Adopting through the foster care system is also pretty much free after tax deductions and reimbursements of some agencies. Even then, its only around $2000 before any of that. A drop in the bucket compared to a single infant adoption at around $17k and up depending on race/country/needs.

Attorneys sometimes get upto 80% then factor in what medical bills and funeral costed and there is a very real possibility they didn't see much of that money at all...

Their attorney takes a straight 1/3, and negotiates discounts in the medical bills in the ballpark of 40%.

It's pretty obvious that they got money and started blowing through it quickly.

Because they don't qualify for the fundraiser. These are people looking to profit, they're not a not for profit organization, and they're certainly not in need.

Well there is nothing you can really do about it. There are many orginizations that profit from other peoples money. People just need to do their research...end of story.

Ive been involved in civil suits as well as been around a lot of attorneys and don't know a single one that will do it for 1/3 most do it for 60% if its a quick easy plea/settlement 70% for trial or highly negotiated settlement and 80% for post trial work if they refile/ appeal or its something that drags on...

They may have gotten a decent ammount of money but I highly suspect that they actually got less than a few hundred thousand if that much.

Wow, 6 years old, that is so sad. I couldnt imagine losing a child that you 've known and loved for that long. Atleast a baby you dont know as well. I'd have to say...3.3 million, you're well off enough to not need donations.
