He doesn't fucking get it dude. He's too feeble minded to get it, or he's being a contrarian.

No one is even arguing that.......... Your analogy sucks.

Frost you need to sit back and listen to yourself. The entire point of the constitution and the ninth amendment was so that the government cant "regulate" what are supposed to be rights. I dont know if you have paid attention but the constitution has been trmpled on (ie the topic of this thread) and some of us have been trying to pit a stop to that abuse (ie the topic of this thread). If you want to talk yourself in circles and make yourself sound like a hypocrite then knock yourself out. Several of us on here have tried to explain rights and government abuse to you bit you refuse to listen. Quite frankly it has been like trying to explain the constitution to Obama.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

ACtually it doesn't. My analogy is correct. If you have a freedom FROM religion, then the state can force your neighbor to remove religious ornamentation that offends you. Pretty much like Mao. You can't show any faith to anything but the state. That would be freedom FROM religion.

Freedom OF religion means you can choose to practice or not, anything you do or don't believe.

        MASSIVE difference.

I do appreciate being called feeble minded when you can't seem to break my argument. As 30 states currently have same sex marriage bans in their constitutions AND every state has requirements that must be met along with fees charged for the license, the state has the authority to decide who may get married.

Like I give a fuck. The corollary to that would be a family putting up a sign that says, "Gay marriage sucks." That's their right. What your non-sequitor doesn't address, is that those religious groups are using their state governments to dictate what others do. The fact of the matter is that the gays don't have anything to do with them, and seem to be getting along just fine without their input, so why the need to regulate what they do? It's hypocritical to demand religious freedom on one hand, and expect religious imposition on the other. What about that doesn't make sense to you?

Actually, it was so that the FEDERAL government can't run your life. Unless you believe in incorporation in which case every single state and local regulation of firearms is unconstitutional and illegal.

And I'm not being hypocritical. You want same sex marriage? Take the power to decide what marriage is from the government.

Everyone seems to be missing that part.

You mean like gay marriage advocates are using their state governments to dictate what others do right? Or atheists. Or hell, if you look at Detroit, Muslims. If gays don't have anything to do with them and seem to be getting along just fine, why the parades? Why the pushing homosexuality acceptance in schools? Why is our safe school czar a guy who gave advice to a minor that it was okay to have homosexual sex with an adult?

You are free to remove any power from your state that you can get voted on. Our founders believed that you were more capable of effecting (affecting?) change at a local level than federal which is why it put so many regulations on the federal government and then, in the 10th amendment, said anything not mentioned nor expressly forbidden to the states, belongs to the states

When the founders wrote the constitution theywere specific aboit the feds or state. Congress, with a capital C, is refering to the federal Congress, iE the first amenment. Second and ninth apply to both state and feds as it is not specified; in otherwords everyone is supposed to honor gun rights and all other rights not mentioned, ie marriage. States can actually have an official religion as per the us constitution, however most staes wisely deny themselves that authority in their state constitution. If i were not on my phone i would go into more detail but it sounds to me you need to take a course on constitutional language.

What gay marriage advocates are trying to force straight people into gay marriages? Are you serious? Also, athiests and muslims are two separate things, and don't have much to do with the subject at hand. Is that all you have? Non-sequitur arguments? And gay pride parades, really? They're not allowed to have a party? If you don't like gays, don't associate with them. If you don't like gay marriage, don't marry one. Past that, what the fuck does it have to do with you? Didn't you serve so Americans can be free? Does that make you think any freedom is at your personal discretion and approval?

                      • The tenth amendment does not apply if you are trying to violate rights covered in the ninth amendment.

As the Constitution does not say "This amendment applies to the fed, this one to the states" with the exception of the 10th, they all apply to the federal government. And I'm still not sure where the accusation that I would support racism came from. I'll count it off as emotional reaction. I really don't get those as, well, brain damage and the part that is damaged is the social part.

I'll try this in bigger letters, or at least in caps. IF YOU WANT GAY MARRIAGE, REMOVE THE POWER TO DETERMINE WHAT MARRIAGE IS FROM THE GOVERNMENT. There, I explained how you can have gay marriage, beastiality, polygamy and pretty much any unions that any fringe groups want.

You aren't actually making a point here, just so you know. You're either telling me to vote out the people in power, or you're telling me to remove them forcibly, but you haven't elucidated which you're advocating. You even said, "take the power back," earlier. Are you talking about localized revolt on a state level as a legitimate means to a political end?
